Fees
Transparent fees
You receive a written quote before any work begins. Most property work is done for a fixed fee, so you know the cost in advance.

Figures are indicative and exclude VAT. The final fee depends on the property and the work involved, and is confirmed in writing before you instruct me.
Third-party costs
Some costs are paid to the government or other providers, not to me. I will estimate them for you at the start. They typically include:
- Stamp duty on the contract
- Land Registry fees for deposit of the contract and transfer of title
- Certificates and searches from government authorities
- Notary and apostille costs when documents are signed abroad
- Translation, where required
Payment
For transactions, fees are usually split between instruction and completion. Payment is by bank transfer. Client money for purchase prices, where held, is kept separately from the practice's own funds.
