Who needs this
- Buyers who have signed a contract of sale and need it registered
- Buyers and sellers completing a transfer of title
- Owners who bought years ago and still do not have title in their name
What this covers
After signing, the contract should be stamped and deposited with the Department of Lands and Surveys. Deposit gives the buyer important legal protection until the title deed is transferred. The final step is the transfer of the title deed into the buyer’s name, which requires the payment of transfer fees and a number of clearances.
What I do
- Arrange stamping of the contract within the required deadline
- Deposit the contract with the Department of Lands and Surveys
- Obtain the clearance certificates needed for the transfer
- Calculate and explain the transfer fees and any exemptions that may apply
- Attend the transfer at the Land Registry on your behalf, if you have given a power of attorney
How to start
Get in touch with your signed contract. If you bought in the past and do not yet have your title, I can check the current position and explain the options.
